Danforth Yachting is only a short drive away from Monkey Bay airstrip and a group of Zambian friends who all have beautiful little airplanes recently took full advantage of this. The holiday started for them right there as we transferred them to Danforth Lodge in style Ė on board of the yacht Mufasa.
As they live far apart their favourite place seemed to be the well-stocked bar where they took the opportunity to catch up with news and gossip. But they also enjoyed the diving in the warm and clear waters, some for the first time. Lake Malawi is perfect for the PADI Discover Scuba Diving; no tide, salt water or strong currents to deal with while learning to breathe under water. They ended their long weekend with a wonderful sunset cruise on Mufasa. We had fun entertaining them and are so grateful for their wonderful TripAdvisor comments http://goo.gl/Po2dVK.
They hadnít long left when a group of experienced divers from Austria and Germany arrived for their first Lake Malawi diving holiday. They were keen to explore Zimbawe Rock, one of the top freshwater dive sites in the world as well as the incredible variety of fish species, especially the endemic Cichlids. With up to four dives a day, some of them literally only came up for meals and sleep! Their tour leader has some amazing photographic equipment, including a brand new drone. He took some amazing images and has been kind enough to share some of them with us. Please check out our Facebook page www.facebook.com/danforthyachting.
Thank you so much, after lots of travel on dusty roads, an oasis of calm & welcome. If we come back to Malawi again, we are coming here! Good food, company and lots of things that were missing from the other places we visited.

Thanks so much for such a relaxing and pretty blissful stay. Eva, Kate and Dean were brilliant hosts and made us feel like friends straight away. A beautiful setting and food was delicious and lots of it! Hopefully we'll come again.
